Chocolate Lava Cakes - Ready in less than an hour! A one-way ticket to chocolate nirvana

Hey Goodie Godmother readers! My name is Meaghan from Cook. Craft. Love. and I’m so excited Mary asked me here today to share this to die for and crazy easy recipe with you all!

Serve these decadent molten chocolate cakes up at your next dinner party and your guests will never guess that the whole thing takes less than an hour from start to finish!
Lemme get real with you for a quick sec. I’ve been in a bit of a baking slump lately. Had a couple of baking fails and just wanted to throw in the towel. Like literally because it keeps getting so dirty from cleaning up all my baking don’ts. So when Mary asked me to share something with you guys I was kind of nervous and had no idea what to choose!
Cupcakes? Cookies? Bread? Dip? Finger foods? Ohemgeetherearesomanychoices! I was on idea overload until one day I woke up out of a dead sleep. And by dead sleep I mean mid-afternoon day dream because I have been so out of it this week. Wanting chocolate. But not like regular chocolate like a chocolate cupcake or brownie but different chocolate. Fancy chocolate that doesn’t take much effort. ‘Cause if I can barely remember what day it is do you really think I have enough brain power to whip up a souffle or something? Ain’t nobody got time for that.

So I took to the kitchen with a loose idea of fancy chocolate in mind and added a little of this and a smidge of that and some more of this other thing and came up with my own from scratch recipe for molten chocolate cakes. They take just under an hour from start to finish. So they’re easy enough for me to handle even when I’m brain dead and fancy enough to be served at any dinner party.
I love to knock the socks off of dinner party guests with a menu that is delightfully simple, sinfully delicious, and looks like it took all day. It’s my favorite! And these molten cakes definitely fit the bill. As soon as your guests cut into the cake and enjoy all that perfect oozing chocolate they’ll be oohing and aahing right through to coffee and out the door. And who doesn’t love being a culinary rock star? AmIright?
