It’s no secret we love potatoes in this house. We prepare them all different ways, and I’m always collecting new recipes to try. We also love Spanish flavors, and my husband laughs that my Spanish side shows with my love of adding paprika to almost everything. One of the most often heard questions when I’m “to taste” seasoning a savory dish is, “should I add paprika?” And yet, I don’t think I have a dish on the blog with paprika and potatoes. Tabbouleh is one of those salads that I ate all the time growing up. The ingredients are nutritious and the salad is so easy to prepare for a crowd. My mom or grandmother would chop the vegetables while soaking the wheat, mix everything together without measuring, adjust the dressing to taste, and serve. Sometimes it would be paired with a more classic Middle Eastern main dish like stuffed grape leaves, and other times, we’d eat it with takeout pizza. (more…)

I consider it one of my callings in life to feed everyone. You come to my house, you get fed at least 75% of the time. The percentage is a little low at the moment because life. So let’s talk about what it takes to be a good “feeder”. Part of feeding the world means one keep tabs on people’s preferences, allergies, etc. It may take me a bit to remember someone’s name, but I’ll remember their aunt’s sesame allergy and that they don’t like raw onions in their salad almost instantly.
