Happy Friday! Saint Patrick’s Day is early next week, but I know many local places are advertising specials and events this weekend, but if green beer isn’t your thing, I have the perfect alternative!
This martini was created by my resident mixologist (the Godfather) to pair with my Slow Cooker Sesame Ginger Pork and it was so good, we knew we had to share it. Since the featured liquor is Irish whiskey, it’s festive, and the ginger simple syrup (recipe here) is a perfect compliment to the whiskey.

- 3 oz Irish whiskey
- Juice from ½ a lemon
- 1 oz ginger simple syrup
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, pour in the ingredients.
- Shake well for 5-10 seconds then strain into a martini glass
- Serve chilled
