Darlings, if your family is like mine, we are always on the go! And while you know we love more traditional dishes, the truth is, most of our meals need to be ready fast. But just because a meal is quick to make doesn’t mean it isn’t delicious or satisfying! Take these Easy Italian Protein Wraps for example. Ready in no time, these protein (and flavor) packed wraps make a great easy lunch or simple weeknight dinner.

Let’s talk about the wrap ingredients for a bit, shall we? Even though there are only 4 ingredients for the wrap filling, all are packed with flavor. My top tip for making great wraps is to make sure your flavors blend well and always include a fresh ingredient.

In this case, my fresh ingredient is plenty of fresh basil from the garden… or the store. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to find fresh basil year-round, so there’s no season on these easy Italian wraps. 😉 When paired with jarred roasted red peppers, creamy sliced mozzarella, and salty prosciutto, it’s a satisfying combination of flavors! And the best part is, this wrap keeps me full for hours with lots of protein.

Without lots of meat on the wrap, you might be asking, “Where’s the protein?” It’s in the wrap itself! Isn’t that fabulous? Mission® Protein Tortilla Wraps contain 7 grams of plant protein each! Darlings, this is great – even for vegetarians! I always look for high protein, high fiber, low carb wraps for, well, wraps, for an extra boost.

Mission® Protein Tortilla Wraps are a favorite at our house. The Godfather likes the flavor, and the kids love the texture. Naturally, I like the simplicity of having a tasty wrap to fill however I’d like for a meal or filling snack. Mom win.

I’ve packed these Easy Italian Protein Wraps for lunches a lot recently. The Godfather takes for work, and the kids and I head out for picnics when the weather is nice. And I want to share my secret for packing wraps with ingredients like roasted red peppers so that they don’t get soggy.

If you’ll notice in the photos, I place the cheese and prosciutto on the wrap first. Then add the fresh basil and roasted red peppers. Keeping the ingredients with more moisture towards the center of the wrap prevents them from transferring too much moisture to the wrap between the time you make it and eat it. This is a sandwich shop trick to keep your bread at a good consistency.

And of course, if you want to toast your wrap, having the cheese closest to the bread means that it melts faster. This cuts down your prep time, and you have your own custom pressed wrap! But let’s be real, don’t these beautiful colors just make you want to dig in ASAP?

So add all the ingredients you need for these wraps to your grocery list, and eat well even when life gets busy. You’ve got this, darlings!

Hi Annie! This website isn't run by Mission Foods, and I can't definitively answer this question. BUT, here is their store locator, and hopefully that will help you find the black bean tortillas near you. :) https://www.missionfoods.com/where-to-buy/
